This is about 1 mile west of my house & with my 1 meter telescope I can see the folks on the beach.

This real time camera is at the main Del Mar Life Guard station;
which is about 1 mile south of the bocce ball tournament.

Normal people would join them, not spy on them. Wink

Man, with that in your backyard I don't see how you find anytime to post answers on this (and other) forums.

On weekends, we walk at low tide to the Main LifeGuard station & back home.
The beach where the tournament is held has a river running out to sea on its southern flank.
We can only keep feet dry at low tide to get around the point.

sandy lane del mar, ca

You can see the river flowing east to west (right to left)
The tournament beach is just north of Sandy Lane across river.

Scrolling the map south (down) you'll soon see Powerhouse Park;
which is where the Life Guard Station is.

Yesterday was opening day at the Del Mar Race Track just east of Shady Lane with 43,000+ in attendance.

It is just after sunrise now & decent amount of "coastal influence" (cloud cover) exists.
It will burn off in 2 - 4 hours & be clear & sunny by post time (2PM PDT) in just under 7 hours.
