Hi All,

im transforming xml output to Excel
1)In excel numbers are converted to string, so cant perofrm any
calculation on numbers in excel....

anyone help me out

Did you make sure the language format settings are the same on both sides?

i have set column types to number.... (report and word xml)

What I meant was that in general Oracle tools have a certain formatting in the front end (I don't know how that works in Reports, but I'm sure it can be done). First it looks at my own computer settings, if that's not set, then at the database. For example the (english formatted) number 1,004.3 will show up in Oracle Discoverer on my screen in Dutch like 1.004,3. If for some reason my Excel is set up in English, this will not be recognized as a number by Excel.

So, verify if your Excel settings are the same as the Oracle database and front end setting.

Values coming from Reports Formula columns havig problem...

Ms Word(XML)....
