Hi,

I would certainly submit the procedure via DBMS_JOB if you can. I think the above reply is good, but if you can avoid it- why not? Using the Intelligent Agent means you're relying on a separate process on your RDBMS machine, one that is not too reliable- see the Readme if you think otherwise. It freezes, it grabs memory, it dies. You need to create the job in OEM, set your credentials in the app, submit it, the agent gets it, then schedules it, waits to run it and send messages back re status. Lots of extra stuff in there.
