Hi,
Can anyone explain step-by-step procedure to configure Oracle 10g on two servers to achieve hot redundancy.

I.e. One Server is master (let's say server-1. The other server is Hot Standby (let's say server-2). At any instant, Both databases should be equal. It means at any instant, any filed of any table in server-1 should be equal to server-2.

Whichever the Server (let's say server-1) is started first, it should go to master mode. After 30 Min, the other let's say server-2 is started. Then Server-2 should update its database till it becomes equal to database of server-1.

Similarly when server-2 is started first, server-2 should be master and server-1 should be hot standby.

How to confiure the Oracle 10g on both servers to achieve the above functionality ?

Perhaps you could take some time and actually read the "Standby Databases" section in the fine Oracle® Data Guard Concepts and Administration manual.
