When I try to drop the roles in dbartisan tool, I get an error saying "Drop DDL for **_***********_ROLE has not been generated because it is a system object", but if i go to sql prompt and say "drop role rolename", it is working. How do I remove the role in dbartisan itself? Please advise.

What happens if you login again using dbartisan after issuing DDL from sqlplus?

It would be helpful if you followed Posting Guidelines - http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/88153/0/

dbartisan provided you a Read Consistent view of the DB as of the time it started.
If it is important to you to see a current snapshot, then you need to start new session.

but what if nobody here uses or knows about dbartisan?
I do not recall it ever being discussed here.
I did not mean posting here was wrong, but you might get answer faster some place else.

As as (almost) always say, there is only one good tool: SQL*Plus.
