Hi,

I'm unable to run form via forms builder. It throws an error message "FRM-10142 - HTTP listener is not running on "localhost" at port 7001". Weblogic server (10.3.6.0) is installed on Solaris 10 and oracle forms server is 11.1.2..2.0. Forms builder is installed on windows server. This is where I'm trying to run fmb files.

I'm totally new to Weblogic server. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Rashi

>HTTP listener is not running on "localhost"

LOCALHOST is ALWAYS this host.

LOCALHOST as client means it can never talk to any remote DB.
LOCALHOST as DB Server means that no remote client can ever talk to it.

if more than 1 system is involved, then LOCALHOST should be avoided

I don't use Forms 11g.

However, if it is anything like Forms 10g, you have to start OC4J instance prior to executing a form from the Forms Builder. You'll find it under Start - All programs - <whatever Oracle folder is named in there>.

we dont have "start oc4j instance" in oracle 11g anymore.

To avoid the error install latest jre on your system. and start welblogic server server using username/password.

if you still face the issue then follow this link
