Not able to export Pls help! [message #72445]

Sir/Madam
I am trying to take export of one of my remote database.I am able to connect to that database but not able to take export. It give the following error messages
Exp:00008
Ora:00942
Exp:00024
Exp:00000
Its not that I don't have export utility installed on my system. I am able to take backup of my database. One more thing I would like to tell you is that at my site I have Oracle 9i installed nad on the remote side I have Oracle 8.0.3 version.
Pls help me to solve this problem.

always use
a lower version of exp/imp against a higher version of database ( in your case u have to use 8.0.3 version of exp to export and same 8.0.3 to import into 9i database).
else ( if u want to use 9i exp/imp agains 8.0.3)
you have to install the required views for 9i in 803.
IF YOU ARE NOT SURE how to do these,
easiest way is to use the lower version of the tool
