We are using Oracle database Standard Edition ver 9.2.0.1.0. When ever we attempt to run DDL on a table whicch is being currently used (even in read onlt mode) the sql command hangs and after a few minutes , and errror is generated "timeout occurred whilr trying to lock object"
A similar peob;em was faced by us earlier which was solved by downloading the patch set 9.0.1.4.0
Kindly advise which patch to download for 9.2.0.1.0.

Hi,

The latest patch-set for Oracle 9i Release 2 (9.2.0) is Oracle 9.2.0.3. This patch-set can be downloaded from Metalink (if you have an Oracle Support Contract). I'm not aware of any alternate download locations. So, people without a support contract will have to go without it.

Best regards.

Frank

Hi,

I have to install Oracle 9.2.0.3 because I´ve got a problem with 9.2.0.1, but I haven`t got support from Oracle because they expired last year. Has anyone a solution to my problem?

Thanks a lot,

Bossalino.
