I got a problem when connecting to oracle.. ORA-01034 and ORA-27101.. with the error Shared memory realm not exists.. I was working in the client machine in a network...I got this problem.. when the server server machine is restarted.. andit was working well previously.. I checked the Tnsnames file and listeenr.ora file.. Is there any thing to do at the client machine or it is with the server machine.. PLZ help me.. in detail..

ur database is NOT UP AND AVAILABLE.
manally try to start the database and listener.
IT is only with the server machine.
whenever the server machine in toggled, the database and listener should also be toggled.
in case of UNIX dbstart/dbshut scripts do this.
in windows u can change their behaviour easily in controlpanel/services.
