Need major help installing 11i apps [message #95093]

Hello,
I recently purchased Oracle 11i Release 7. But I am having serious problems installing it. So I can start from the beginning, I installed windows 2000 Server with service pack 3. Then I installed the java sdk 1.3.1. When I try to install Oracle APPS I get a java error, even though I just installed it.

So, what I did next was install oracle 9i database, then used the universal installer to install the Oracle 11i apps. The install went successful, but there is no entry in the start menu to access the appications. Also, there are 21 cd's and it only used 5. I don't really know where to begin. Anything helps.

Hi,

I am also looking for installing the oracle 11i under windows 2000.
I have oracle 11.5.3 and i do not know what is the installation procedure.

Do you have any basic documents which gives the installation steps.

Hi,
Post installation : 1.create applnmgr user .
2.Install SP2, MS VC++, MKStoolkit..
3. from CDROM run rapidwiz.
& follow the wizard.....

hi guys
i Need small favour for post installation of 11i (11.5.9) apps that is updating log and output directory.

can anybodly tell the procedure to update that n to get reports.

i havent updated that directory sofar, in this scenario if i run a request its getting a error.

so can someone post those procedure.
