Our boxes have been up and running since May without any hitches.

One thing though is we tune our box to the max and some options in oracle can cause problems with materialised views (e.g STAR_JOIN_ENABLED, SORT_AREA_SIZE must equal SORT_AREA_RETAINED_SIZE), other than that I never worry about it.

We use it as a data mart/etl box in our enterprise, so I can't say how it would really run in OLTP environment but during out data mart loads it processes many millions of transactions without a hitch.
