HELLO!! from Spain. PLEASE HELP!!
I´m trying to install oracle 8.1.7 on Unixware 7.1.Installation its ok, but net8 assistant fails and also database creation, always at 96%. I get the error :"warning:jit compiler sunwjit not found". THANKS GUYS!!!!

I had a similar problem with HPUX and Irix. It sounds like your compiler options are missing. You need access to the executables make, ar, ld, and nm. Make sure you have all of the required OS patches installed too.

Verify the Java installation at OS level.
It is in the second CD of Unixware. Verify the installed products as
'pkginfo'. Just-In-Time Compiler should be installed.
Select typical database creation at the time of installation and later create your own database with DBA studio.
