We are running Oracle 8.1.7.2 on AIX 4.3 and we are getting this message:

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [[kzckini: nzdsi_initialize]], [[28750]]

We are running a 32 bit version of the database. We are not using NIS. Does anyone have any help with this.

Thanks

Loren

This can happen when Oracle makes a call to verify a user from the OS password file. If the OS getpwuid call returns a null pointer instead of the correct operating system code then this ORA-600 error message is returned.
You should contact IBM and ask for APAR IY22458 which may fix the problem.

For HP-UX systems this can happen due to Oracle password aging. Once you reset the Oracle password on HP-UX system, this will be solved.
To avoid to facing these kind of issues, always keep the password aging alert on and change the password accordingly.
