My sun machine is continuously showing the following lines during booting and I can not do anything from here. The message is---

MISSING OR BAD PASSWD ENTRY FOR <ROOT>
INIT:COMMAND IS RESPAWNING TOO RAPIDLY. CHECK FOR POSSIBLE ERRORS.
ID: CO "/USR/LIB/SAF/TTYMON -G -H -P"
'UNAME -N'
CONSOLE LOGIN:"-T SUN -D /DEV/CONSOLE -L CONSOLE -M LDTERM, TTCOMPAT"

Please help me ASAP. Looking for ur mail.

Did you find a solution for this?
My root passwd is gone and I'm having the same problem you did. Loading the install software doesn't work since I have to be root to access the cdrom from outside a shell.

I'll try anything!!
