I have dozens of Pro*Cobol jobs that I run BATCH against my local OS/390 ORACLE instance. Within each JCL deck there is card //ORA@ssn DD DUMMY (where ssn is the Oracle subsystem name) How do I define my remote AIX ORACLE subsystem to OS/390?

Is there a document that explains how to access a remote database from OS/390 WITHIN A BATCH PRO*COBOL PROGRAM...NOT INTERACTIVE? I know I need to make changes to my TSNAMES file and probably issue some MPM commands (SSNAME?) any advice or examples would be appreciated.

We run Oracle 8.1.7.1.50 OSDI on our os/390 v2.8, we have our UNIX oracle database defined in our TNSNAMES file with SSN parameter pointing to our NET8 sysid. Programmers use DBLINK in their batch COBOL program to get to UNIX.
