Hi,
We have some assets that are being transfered to another location, but are not being placed in service. Is there anyway that we could cease depreciation for the months that the asset is not in service & then once the asset is placed in service not have the system do a catch up depreciation entry for the months were the depreciation was stopped? The asset depreciation is calculated using the Straight Line Method.
Ex: In August, cease depreciation on an asset w/ monthly depreciation of $50. In December, restart monthly depreciation @ $50 without the catch up of 4 months missed depreciation of $200.
