Well, still working on my oracle applications installation on linux.
Got everything working, but discovered an interesting bug this morning.
First, I must state that this instance is going to be used for tests and learning. I also must work with our 3 other instances, snbx, dev and prod.
If I open Oracle Applications for one of the existing systems (say prod, to do some user maintenance), then try to launch oracle applications from my linux install, it fails with the following error message in the jinnitiator window.
The FormsLauncher failed to connect to the existing forms session properly.
A modal window may be open in the existing forms session, or your session
may have become invalid.
If I go the other way around, opening Oracle applications first in my linux instance, then one of prod/dev/snbx, it works fine.
Note that while prod/dev/snbx are on the same version, my linux install is on a slightly older version of everything (jre, oracle apps, etc)
