Does runproduct creates an additional database connection on calling a report? In the D2K application running here whenever a particular button is pressed for first time it opens another connection. The coding inside the "when-buttont-pressed" trigger of this button contians runproduct for calling a report. After executing the report a file is sent to printer by using HOST command. I am not able to find where this new connection is getting opened?

Hello,
Sorry I don't know the Dramma behind the 6i.

When u Call Run Product in 6i OR RUN_REPORT_OBJECT in 10G , a separate database connection object is established.
I will see this object in 10G from following URL.

I also attached the snapshot of Job Status in 10G for ur concept.

Regards,
Ahmad
