have a client that wants to open 24 periods and have entries posted rather than having 23 "Future enterable" periods with unposted entries. Considering the fact that gl_balances is updated for open and budget data. Considering the fact that the client as a budget in Oracle for 36 periods. Considering the fact that the date in the open "future" periods is less than 1% of the total of the database data.
Will this 24 open periods will have an impact on the performance ?

Hi,

I think there will be a performace issue in posting if you have 24 open periods.
