Journals did not transfer to GL but appear in the Unposted items report. what could be the reasons for this.

RTFM (Read The Friendly Manual.)

If you look in the Receivables User Guide, you will find an explanation of the Unposted Items Report, what causes items to be there and how to resolve the matter. It is too large to reproduce here.

If you don't have a copy of the Receivables User Guide, it can be downloaded, with all of the other Applications Documentation from http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/applications.html
