Do you have suggestions about this odd situation?
We're deploying a 3-tier VB application with the following architecture:
- VB exe on client
- DCOM component server on Win 2003 server
- DB Oracle 10G on Win 2000 server
Everything works fine when deploying the application on WinXP client, but it doesn't function where exe is installed on NT client. We found out that the DB connection seems to be successfull , but we get ADO 3265 error at the next sql call.
The problem seems to be at the DBserver - DCOM server level, but happens only when the calling client is NT.
Other configuration settings are the following:
- DBMS version 10.2.0.2
- DCOM version 2001.12.4720.0
- ODBC Oracle driver on DCOM server : 10.02.00.01

We do have the same problem switching to an Oracle DB on Linux.

Have any idea???
Thanks
Ed
