Hello All,

I have installed Oracle 10g on solaris 10 and created a new database it works fine. But i am not able to access the database thru Oracle Enterprise manager? Couple of questions for this:

A. Is by default, oracle enterprise manager installed when install oracle 10g on solaris 10?

B. If so, how to access and what to do to activate or access database thru it?

C. If not, what needs to be installed? and how to activate and acccess the database thru it?

D. I am also not sure, how to check, whether the Enterprise manager is installaed or not, please let me know how to check as well.

Thanks for your understanding and reply.

Cheers,
Senthil

You need to ensure the dbconsole is started:

$ORACLE_HOME/bin/emctl start dbconsole

Then you can access OEM at http://<hostname>:5500/em
