Hello to all,

I was wondering, if I can remove the patch directories after applying them successfully (e.g. the directory "5382965" after Update to 9.2.0.7)?

There was no hint that I have found in the documentation referring to that topic,

Regards,

Sure, if you are referring to the directory where you unzipped the patch files.

Thank you for your quick answer!

But is it really sure? Because one should place the directory in ORACLE_HOME and the documentation says nothing about deleting it after installation?

Regards,

Arthur

To test it, don't delete this directory - rename it instead and see how Oracle works without it. If everything is OK, delete it.

I agree with Littlefoot. If you are really paranoid, just rename the directory.

You can check in %ORACLE_HOME%\BUNDLE\Patch13. You should see an unzipped version of the patch in there.
