Yes, you can use buttons in a report.

why you need button? explain?

i have used button on many reports for "drill down" purpose.

Just create a button in layout mode and write pl/sql code behind it with the help of SRW.RUN_REPORT pacakage command.

See HELP for the syntax.

Hi Dude,
Thanks for your response.
When button is clicked in the report it should calculate discount of the lines in the form and show us the output in HTML.

Now problem is how can use buttons in report?
I used a button a report,it running good in 6i but showing error in apps.I hadn't write any code in button,just given null.

Please send me a sample report, so that it can help me

Hi,

I want the write a call code in the button. When the button at the ouput console, it should call one more report.
Do you have such report, if so, please send me that.

Is there any other kind of option wherein I can call a report from a report to get rid of btuuon, as these may not be effiecient in 11i.

How do we call a report from form developed in template.fmb?

Are there any standards to follow? If any pls let me know.
