Hello
I have report like this.. I have to select sum of employee salary based on department.
I did group by department in reportbuilder and my summary colums are in the data model.
It is coming by department wise but sum of salaries of all departments.
where should be my summary columns in the data model.

Create a summary column which will have salary as a source and will break on report. It should not be a part of any existing group. Place it into a top-parent frame (actually, I'd let Report Wizard to do that. It could save you some time and nerves if you aren't experienced in drawing items in the Paper Layout).
