Hi guys,
Really need your help. It's about printing using dot matrix. No problems occur when i print only a page. But when it comes to the next page, the allignment become really messy. How can i solve this? Is it because of the initialization or the prt file setting? Pls help me!

Hi Vamsi,

Thanks for reply. Now,the allignment is doing fine after some changes in rdf.
But i have another problem with the standard oracle report. All the report in LandscapeHPLJ4 (standard driver) cannot print propperly.
For each page i got an extra line (extra 2 lines) which is printed in the next page.

This is what i set in my driver;
initialization string : /eE/e(s0P/e(8U/e&l10/e&l8D/e&k4S
style : columns = 132 , rows = 66

How can i solve this problem?

How about decreasing number of rows (to 60, for example)? If it works OK, enlarge it to 64 (as you've said that - when there are 66 rows, you get 2 rows on the next page).

I've changed the num of rows to 64 (in the apps,not in prt). It seems to be ok, but after a few pages i'll get a blank page and it will continue to the next page until it finished printing.

Can u pls elobrate (as im a newbies) what does it mean by decreasing the num of rows? As in my rdf the report width is 132 and the length is 66.

Thanks.

It means exactly what you did. If there was

report width is 132 and the length is 66

change it to

report width is 132 and the length is 60.

Blank page in the middle of output? Did it reach PAGE BREAK? For example, all employees of department 10 were printed and - before printing department 20 employees - you have a page break? Check "Page break before / after" and, eventually, "Protect page" properties.
