HOw Can i create report in urdu language from reports6i...

also need to export it in PDF...

Can anu One tell me way to do this..

I *suppose* that all you have to do is to use font which supports Urdu characters. You'll probably have to ensure it is installed on all clients in order to get a proper display.

Mr.Usman,

For PDF
you set three system parameter of report and then a pdf file will be created. Detail of parameters is given below...
destype=file
desformat=pdf
desforname=c:\test.pdf
after setting these three parameters, a pdf file will be created at given path(desname)

solution of second question is that
first of all install urdu fonts as in win xp urdu fonts are given install them in control panel -> regional and language options -> language ->install file for east asian ->details-> add -> urdu.
secondly you set the database character set UTF8.
Thirdly you set the Nls_lang to UTF8 in developer 6i through registry.
After these steps you will be able to save and display urdu data in oracle.
