I use vmware to build Oracle RAC testing environment. But this testing system is running so slow.

Test machine: Dual core 2G CPU + 4G RAM + 300GB HD

May somebody introduce a better way to build Oracle RAC environment for testing?

Thanks!

thanks, your instroduce!

Have you used this document to build Oracle RAC? can it normal work or not?

If so, I really want to buy a firewire HD to make a test.

Give me some suggestions!

Thanks

Yes, I've actually built a RAC system using those instructions. It's not intend for a production environment, but as a test system it works well.

Can you access the firewire extern Harddisk drive for each OS at a time after you finished installing it?

Change path to the firewire extern harddisk and type the follow command for each node:

Linux server 1:

# touch test1.txt

Linux server 2:

# touch test2.txt

Or this firewire extern harddisk just can be accessed by Oracle RAC?

Thanks!

Share storage can not be accessed though OS command. Because it is not Linux file system.

It must be accessed by ASMCMD command.
