I have 3 dimensions:
1. Region
2. State
3. Time
Each state belongs to a region. Let's say I have Regions 1, 2 and 3 and:
- states NY, NJ, MA are in Region 1
- states GA, FL, TX are in Region 2
- states CA, NV, KY are in Region 3
Now, if NY has made 5000 sales, NJ made 3000 and MA made 1000, Region 1 then has 9000 sales. If my customer wants a roll-up report which is per Region, as well as, a drill down report which is per state at a given time, how do I design my dimensions and fact??
