I am trying to make an unattended install of the oracle 9.2.0.1.0 client on a few hundred w2k machines. If I use a response file called basis.rsp, it works fine. This installs a very basic oracle client.

If I try to install the Windows Interfaces the universal installer keeps asking the port number for the Microsoft Transaction server. I already added the following lines to the response file:

#[oracle.cartridges.ordmts_9.2.0.1.0]
#DEPENDENCY_LIST={oracle.rsf_9.2.0.1.0}
OPTIONAL_CONFIG_TOOLS={}
s_recodServiceRegKey2=System\CurrentControlSet\Services\OracleMTSRecoveryService
s_recodServiceRegKey1=software\oracle\OracleMTSRecoveryService
s_recodHTTPPort=2030
n_currinstId=0

The -silent switch is not an option. Anybody?

I had been frustrated with this issue for some time. The way I solved this was to add quotes around the 2030.

s_recodHTTPPort="2030"

goos luck!
