hi guys please help

i have the foolowing installed





Oracle BI 10g version 10.2.0.1.0 = for discoverer plus

Oracle BI 1og Tools version 10.1.2.02=for desktop administrator

Oracle 10g database 10 version 10.1.2.02 local on my pc

i'm connection to another database on another sever(pc)

QUESTIONS

i need to populate my reports on portal,I have Oracle APpser 1og installion disc
I dont know which features to install in orader to have portal running on my pc
i read that after installing AppSer i need to assosiate it with BI discover how do i do this

when creating report
my mentor/boss want me to =create a drill-down effect as opposed to columns per level ?

Something like how Windows Explorer works where you can expand and collapse folders.
(am lost ,and have no idea!)
it this possible ? how do i go about it
please help am lost

As for the Apps server: are you sure you want to run the application server on a desktop PC?? I assume it will work, but it's server software and known to cause performance issues on a server.

For both your questions (iAS server and drill down): did you check the manuals? What did you try? Where did you get stuck?

Confused hi all



i've tried creating Item class (hierachy) but it is not what i
am looking for


after creating Item class
i dont understand as of how to assign item class to a column

at the moment i dont know how to go about it

i have createn item class before
division-country-bottler-basis_code

but as for hierachy (per columns level) i am lost

am using book:discoverer administrator
10g: developer and eul
it is a student guide .volume 1
from oracle

Could you please give some sample data and a sample resultset of what you're trying to accomplish?
Because from your description I'm not sure what it is you want to do.
