How can i show a field whose value is Y/N in the report as a check box with checbox ticked if value 'Y' and unticked if value 'N'?

As far as I can tell, there's no "checkbox" field in Reports Builder. In order to do what you want, create a field whose source is an image: unchecked checkbox for "N" and checked for "Y" (it means you'll have to have two images).

Do not display field whose value is "Y/N"; just display an image (they will, probably, overlap). Create a Format Trigger for the image fields which would look like this (for field's value = 'Y'):
RETURN (:field_YN = 'Y');

Yes , I agree with that make a JPG by taking a Screen Shot from your any matching GUI(Graphical User Interface ) and Write format trigger on the basis of two values i.e. Y/N.
